Protecting Children's Privacy Online

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) was passed by Congress in October 1998, with a requirement that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) issue and enforce rules concerning children's online privacy. The primary goal of the Act and the Rule is to place parents in control over what information is collected from their children online. Menominee County Federal Credit Union does not knowingly collect, nor is our web site designed or directed to use personal information from children under the age of 13 without containing verifiable consent from their parents. Unless applying for MCFCU membership, no information is collected from children to participate in the online activities and information found in these areas of our web site.

Hardware/Software Requirements

In order to access, view and retain electronic communications that we make available to you, you must have an internet-capable computer with version of:

Windows XP running Internet Explorer 8 or higher, Firefox or Chrome.

Windows 7 running Internet Explorer 9 -10, Firefox or Chrome.

Mac running Safari.

Our site doesn’t support IE 7 or any earlier versions of IE. It also was not designed for Firefox or other browsers on a Mac, tablet or phone, although it will likely work and display fine.

In addition, you must have a printer capable of printing any communications that are e-mailed to you and/or made available on our website, and you understand that we recommend that you do so. In the alternative, you must have and maintain the ability to electronically save and visually display on your computer screen any communications that are e-mailed to you and/or made available on our website. You understand that we do not make any warranties on equipment, hardware, software, internet service provider, or any part of them, expressed or implied, including, without limitation, any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
